Due to the large number of last minute submissions and by popular demand, the Sustainable Thinking Platform is glad to announce the deadline for voting on our photo competition has been extended to midnight 24 May 2013.
Submissions – which closed on 30 April -will be initially rated in a first round by the online platform members. The shortlisted finalists will then be judged by a panel comprised of international journalists and industry representatives.
Following the enormous success of the last multimedia competition, VinylPlus has re-launched its Sustainable Thinking Platform, the online community for young people from all around the world to discuss and learn about sustainability issues. More than 2,500 people from over 90 different countries had signed up to join the 2010 edition.
Following detailed deliberations by the judging panel, the winners of the second edition of the Vinyl 2010 Sustainable Thinking Platform multimedia competition have been announced.
The 2008-2009 competition represented the second such initiative by Vinyl 2010. Driven by the underlying theme of Sustainable Development, young people aged 18-30 from across Europe and beyond joined the community to express their views on one of the key challenges facing our planet.

Close to 1000 people from 89 countries signed up to take part in the last edition of the Vinyl 2010 Essay Competition. In the end, over 200 completed essays were submitted to the panel of judges.
Prizes were awarded to the three top European contestants, while an additional prize was given to the best global level entry. A special Industry prize was also added to last year’s competition.
