Youths making Abuja Sustainable

Loneeagle

My idea seeks to: 1. Increase the revenue of parks and Sprawling green areas in Abuja the Nigerian capital, Abuja. 2. Reduce the cost of food items which occurs as a result of long transportation distances and low preservation methods from whence they came. 3. Utilize youths as the foot soldiers of this goal. The third objective would help produce a crop of youths who would be the next generation of farmers equipped with farming techniques that are both 21st century styled and sustainable. Equally as relevant is the rather practicable technology involved involving a synergy between already developed techniques to be churned out from technology centers and agricultural institutes, into farming projects that makes use of inputs, as basic as compost manure, and harvested rainwater, which would not only empower youths, but give them access to land.

thanks for interesting

thanks for interesting points, here in Europe we lack the information about youth life in Africa. I was just missing some point how we can help from here... Great that there are some motivated people with the interest to improve the life in Africa and make it sustainable

Hi thanks for taking out time

Hi thanks for taking out time to read the write up, funny how the world is a global villiage with all means for communication and information dissemination and its still as difficult to find information about happenings in certain parts of the world, this is one challenge which must be solved where more positive information has to be churned out by Africans to the world via the web, and so that is why am doing this, and many more like me also are doing what they can in their own capacity, if need be you could ask me anytime and I could provide more information, on the continent, and particularly about my country Nigeria, I think, the kind of help required should be more of partnerships, and collaborations to fast track more success stories as an addition to what is begining to emanate around the continent. The grand idea would be to find areas where such collaborations are most needed. The continent, does not want a band aid, neither a quick fix which is going to get worse as time goes by, but technology domestication to afford Africans to build capacity, in addition to what is been locally developed. Cheers as you continue in the path of understanding more cultures and reaching out across the divide....God bless!!!
