Primordial-to realize that there is a problem. Many people still consider that:pollution, global warming, resource scarcity are a kind of conspiracy. One of my professors recently said that we all have heart something about these problems, but if we had to explain the reasons, the impact of human activity and its results..well,it would be quite difficult to give a scientific response. He also said that reasonable people should doubt in everything that they hear. Is there really a problem or is it only a conspiracy created by Medias, which aim is to distract people from the real problems in the world.. I think that my professor is right.Every intelligent person looks first for scientific information to understand better the reasons of the problem and how to act to solve it.TV, newspapers and Internet are not a source of information, capable to satisfy our needs of knowledge. Getting informed and being concerned for the future-the first step to contribute to a positive change.
Good point. Conspiracy
Good point. Conspiracy theories may be fascinating and easy to popularize but it inspires more suspicion and even anger. What kind of good can we arouse out of media that only makes us more fearful and untrusting? It may be good to consider the possibilities and if there is an ounce of truth from these yeasayers, we should be prepared to confront them. The question now is, how does one prepare for something they don't even know? I don't know the answer but I do know that being afraid and angry poses very limited solutions. :)
