- Mark Joseph Tajo Solis is a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science student at the University of the Philippines-Diliman and a JASSO exchange scholar at the Faculty of Law, Kyushu University in Japan, where he is currently finishing courses on Japanese Studies and Comparative Politics of Asia. Prior to his study in Japan, he was awarded the International Debate Education Association scholarship to Thailand and the JENESYS Student Ambassadorial grant to Japan in 2010. Mark is a member of the UP Debate Society and actively competes in the Asian debating circuit. His research interests cover environmental politics, public policy analysis, decentralization and urbanization studies, and comparative studies of politics and administration in Asia. Whenever his schedule permits, Mark finds his ideal respite in biking around parks, taking landscape photographs, or enjoying cups of coffee in downtown cafeterias.
